Public speaking is a vitally important method of building trust, communicating ideas, and ultimately driving business results.

Great public speakers evoke trust with their audiences by combining subject matter credibility with a style that is uniquely theirs.

The Olivine Group teaches speakers best practices for presentation organization and design, and helps familiarize them with their natural styles of communication. Graduates not only learn to package information to maximize clarity and persuasion, they understand how they personally resonate with audiences.

We tailor our workshops to meet your organization's specific business objectives. Common objectives include helping speakers:

STORYTELLING SCHOOL IN ACTION

Client: CEO, Large Advertising Agency

The need: This CEO had observed a lack of storytelling and charisma in their agency's presentations. They reported "information vomit" slides being read verbatim during client meetings as the need for enhancing the agency's presentation skills.

The result: The Olivine Project designed a half-day improv + storytelling training that examined the current state, and walked participants through storytelling and data visualization best practices, including weaving improv exercises throughout the day to help participants find their unique voices and formula for charisma. The CEO was thrilled with the results, and has since hired the Olivine Project to deliver the workshop multiple times per year.
Client: Learning & Development, Large Social Media Company

The need: An L&D lead was tasked with finding a workshop to engage a large team in a dynamic presentation skills training for a cross-functional team with a heavy engineering presence. The team had been struggling to tell stories, tending to lose audiences quickly by going directly "into the weeds" instead of using storytelling best practices.

The result: The Olivine Project designed a full day improv + storytelling training that armed participants with storytelling best practices; the workshop gave participants first-hand experience organizing their information into stories, and in finding their unique voices through improv. The L&D team reported glowing reviews on feedback surveys for the workshop, as well as a noticeable uptick in effective storytelling on the team.
